Background
One of the biggest challenges of planning development is the systematic integration of population variables and related data to effectively inform policies and programs. In ensuring that these factors explicitly reflect in medium and long-term national development strategies requires mastering certain basic tools. evidence-based planning.
Goals
This one-day training is intended to unlock the power of survey data / official statistics that equips participants to utilise disaggregated data from censuses, surveys, and administrative sources to support evidence-based policy and planning.
Participants will be introduced to accessing data from the StatsBank and will learn practical visualisation tips and tools. The session will conclude with a hands-on exercise in which participants will tell a simple data story using the StatsBank and Datawrapper.
