WORKSHOP ON THE ART AND SCIENCE OF KNOWLEDGE TRANSLATION

Background

Across many health systems, high-quality research evidence is often underutilized, remaining confined to academic spaces rather than shaping real-world policy and practice. Knowledge Translation (KT) addresses this gap by ensuring that evidence is effectively communicated, adapted, and applied to improve population health outcomes.

The Africa Health Initiative Knowledge Translation (AHI KT) Guidelines offer a practical, evidence-based framework for translating research into impactful health policies and programs. This interactive half-day session will equip participants with practical tools and approaches to help translate knowledge into meaningful action.
